Low-calorie fire spread

Spread the love

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 250 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 200 g cream cheese, light (16%)
  • 200 g cottage cheese (grainy cream cheese), if possible light
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp Peperoncini (the really hot ones), dried and chopped
  • 1 tsp herbal salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Combine quark, cream cheese, and cottage cheese in a large bowl, add the garlic, and season with peperoncini and herb salt. Blend everything with a hand blender until it forms a light and airy cream. It’s quick to prepare in the morning before brunch and will keep in a Tupperware container or a mason jar for about a week. A low-calorie alternative to sausage and cheese on bread! It’s also wonderful as a dip for vegetable sticks. You can, of course, vary the spiciness by increasing the amount of peperoncini. As described above, it’s spicy, but not hellishly hot.
