Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 400 g cheese (Gruyère)
  • 200 g cheese (Emmental)
  • 300 ml dry white wine
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 4 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 cl cherry brandy
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • white bread

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Swiss recipe

Heat white wine, lemon juice, and sliced ​​garlic in a ceramic fondue pot (cheese fondue pot). Slowly melt the cheese. Then add the cornstarch dissolved in kirsch. Season to taste with pepper and nutmeg. Serve this over the fondue fire with diced white bread.
