Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg potato(s), floury
- 50 g butter
- 250 ml milk or cream
- Salt
- 100 g cheese (e.g. Gouda, Parmesan, Greyezer or Emmental)
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Peel the potatoes, chop them into small pieces, and boil them. Press the hot potatoes through a potato ricer or mash them in a saucepan with a masher. Then stir in the softened butter and grated cheese. Season with salt and nutmeg. Heat the milk, either pure or mixed with cream, and gradually stir it into the potato mixture until the desired consistency is reached.
