Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g wheat flour type 405
- 200 ml water
- 5 eggs
- 3 tsp, leveled salt
- 8 dashes of Maggi
- 1 pack of cheese, grated
- 100 ml cream, or more, if desired
- n. B. spice mix (chip salt)
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Combine eggs, flour, Maggi sauce, water, and salt in a bowl. Knead by hand until a smooth dough forms; it shouldn’t be too runny. Using a spaetzle board or press, add the spaetzle dough to boiling water. When the spaetzle floats to the surface, scoop it out with a slotted spoon and place it in a container of cold water. Place the finished spaetzle in a pan, sprinkle with cheese, and add the cream. Heat until the cheese has melted. Sprinkle with the potato salt and serve.
