Cheese spaetzle Anke

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g Spätzle (egg spaetzle, refrigerated)
  • 150 g ham, cooked, slightly thicker slices
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 150 g cheese, grated
  • some pepper
  • 1 piece(s) butter as needed
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cut the cooked ham into small cubes. Peel the onion and slice it into half rings. Fry both together in a non-stick pan. Remove and cover. Melt a knob of butter, if desired, in the same pan and toss the egg noodles in it until warm and lightly browned. Add the ham and onions and season with pepper. Lightly grease a shallow baking dish. Pour the grated cheese and the noodle mixture into the baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
