Cherry cake from the tray

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g margarine or butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ liter of milk
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla pudding powder
  • 600 g sour cream
  • 2 glasses of cherries
  • 2 packs of cake glaze, red
  • ½ liter cherry juice

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 190°C (top and bottom heat). Line a deep baking sheet with baking paper. Drain the cherries in a sieve. Collect the juice. Make a batter from the batter ingredients, spread it on the baking sheet, and bake for 15 minutes at 190°C (375°F). Make a pudding from the milk, vanilla pudding powder, and sugar according to the package instructions. Stir 3 tubs of sour cream – a total of 600g – into the warm pudding. Spread the mixture over the batter and top with the cherries. Bake for another 15 minutes at 190°C (375°F). Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool. Make a glaze using 1/2 liter of the reserved cherry juice and the cake glaze powder according to the package instructions and spread it over the cooled cake.
