Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g red cabbage
- 30 ml red wine vinegar
- 3 carnations
- 2 juniper berries
- 20 g sugar
- 1 jar sour cherries, approx. 720 ml
- n. B. cornstarch
- 2 shallots
- 1 tsp salt

Drain the cherries and reserve the juice. Chop the shallots and sauté. Shred the red cabbage and sauté for about 3 minutes. Add the red wine vinegar, 250 ml of the cherry juice, sugar, salt, juniper berries, and cloves, and sauté for another 20 minutes. Mix 30 ml of the cherry juice with the cornstarch. Add the cherries and remaining cherry juice with the cornstarch and cook for 4 minutes.
