Chicken Breast in Onion and Mushroom Sauce

The perfect chicken breast in onion and mushroom sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Mushrooms
  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 P Ham cubes
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 0,25 l White wine
  • 150 g Cream
  • Salt pepper
  • 4 Chicken breast fillets
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 30 g Herb butter
  • 30 g Parmesan
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  1. Clean the mushrooms and cut in half.
  1. Scald tomatoes with hot water, peel off the skin and dice.
  1. Peel and dice the onions.
  1. Fry the ham cubes in a pan until crispy, remove.
  1. Fry the mushrooms in the bacon for about 5 minutes.
  1. Add onions, diced tomatoes and tomato paste and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  1. Deglaze with wine and cream and bring to the boil.
  1. Season with salt and pepper.
  1. Put the bacon in the sauce.
  1. Spread everything in a baking dish.
  1. Wash and dry the chicken breast fillets and season with a mixture of salt, pepper and paprika.
  1. Place on top of the sauce and cook in a preheated oven at 175 ° for about 25 minutes.
  1. Melt herb butter, grate cheese, mix with breadcrumbs and butter.
  1. Spread this mixture over the fillets approx. 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time and finish baking.
