Chicken breast in thyme marinade

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken breasts, skinless, ready to cook
  • 1 bunch thyme, fresh
  • 2 clove(s) garlic, chopped
  • 2 tsp chili flakes
  • Germ oil, for pickling
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 10 minutes

Brush the bottom of the casserole dish generously with oil. Spread half of the thyme sprigs on top. Sprinkle half of the chili flakes and garlic over the top. Place the chicken breasts on top. Sprinkle with the remaining chili flakes and garlic. Spread the remaining thyme sprigs over the meat, press down lightly, and drizzle with plenty of oil. Cover with foil and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2-4 hours. Then carefully turn the breasts over and let stand for another 2-4 hours. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Salt the chicken breasts before placing the casserole dish and contents in the oven. Cook for about 20 minutes. The meat is very juicy and flavorful.
