Chicken Hearts with Leek

Ingredients
 

  • 500 g Leek
  • 300 g Chicken hearts
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 piece Clove of garlic
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 250 ml Riesling
  • 1 tsp Steak pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cut the leek into approx. 5 cm pieces, quarter them lengthways and wash. Halve the hearts lengthways and wash well.
  • Roughly chop the (large) onion. Dice the garlic.
  • Fry the onions with sugar in olive oil, add tomato paste and stir over medium heat, add the garlic.
  • Add the leeks and hearts, fry briefly, then deglaze with wine.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with the pepper.
  • Goes well with boiled potatoes or delicious bread.
