Chicken À L’orange for Every Day
The perfect chicken à l’orange for every day recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Chicken breasts
- 1 Orange
- 2 tsp Fresh thyme
- 1 tsp Cornmeal
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Butter
- 2 Toes Fresh garlic
- 0,125 pole Leek
- 0,25 Carrot
- 0,125 Fresh celery
- 0,25 cube Chicken broth
Prepare the orange and vegetables
- Finely grate the orange peel, squeeze out the orange. Clean, wash and cut the vegetables into large cubes
Prepare meat
- 2nd marinade: Mix oil, corn flour, 1-2 tablespoons of orange juice, 1/4 of the orange peel, 1 teaspoon of thyme leaves with pepper and salt. Fold in meat and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the sauce
- Brown the garlic and remaining vegetables in the butter, add the remaining thyme and orange peel, stir, deglaze with the remaining orange juice. Pour 1 dl of water in, add the chicken stock, simmer for at least 30 minutes. If necessary, top up with water.
- Sear the chicken vigorously in a coated pan, set aside. Loosen the roast set with the sauce, bring to the boil briefly and pour over the meat through a sieve.
