Chicken noodle pot

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 chicken, approx. 1200 g, not a soup chicken
  • 1 small bunch of carrots
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • Water
  • Salt
  • 250 g noodles (soup noodles) or short ribbon noodles, e.g. Riesa

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Clean and wash the chicken (I always use a roast chicken, as it has more meat on it) thoroughly, removing any giblets. Rub the chicken well with salt and place it in a large pot of water. The chicken should be covered with water. Cook for 45-60 minutes. In the meantime, cook the pasta separately and trim the carrots. After about 30 minutes, add the trimmed carrots to the chicken. After the cooking time, remove the chicken and remove the meat from the bones. Cut the meat and carrots into small pieces. Strain the broth through a sieve and season to taste. Add the pasta, carrots, and meat and sprinkle with parsley.
