Chicken sticks with peas and fries

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 1 can peas
  • 200g French fries
  • 1 egg(s)
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp, heaped paprika powder, hot or mild
  • 1 tsp, heaped curry powder
  • 20 g butter
  • Olive oil or rapeseed oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sauce according to taste, I recommend gravy or cream sauce

First, place the breadcrumbs in a bowl or soup plate. Then, add the curry powder and paprika. Mix them evenly with the breadcrumbs. Then, crack the egg into a bowl or soup plate and stir. Now, flatten the fillet to about 1 cm thick, then cut into strips (approximately 5-10 cm long, as desired). Dip the fillet first in the beaten egg and then completely cover with breadcrumbs. Repeat this process until the entire fillet is coated. Place the peas in a saucepan and let them stand over medium heat until the peas are cooked. Then, add the knob of butter and let them simmer uncovered for a while. Then, replace the lid and set the stovetop to 1. The fries can be prepared in the oven or in the deep fryer (I recommend using the deep fryer). Fry the chicken sticks over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Serve immediately.
