Chicken strips with walnuts

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 400 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 200 g broccoli
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp ginger, freshly grated
  • 125 g walnuts, halved
  • 1 tbsp dry sherry
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Rinse the chicken breast fillets with cold water, pat dry, and cut into thin strips. Season with salt and pepper. Trim and wash the broccoli and cut into florets. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil and sauté the broccoli for 5 minutes. Remove and keep warm. Heat the remaining fat. Sauté the ginger and garlic. Add the chicken and fry for about 4 to 6 minutes. Stir in the nut halves. Combine the sherry, soy sauce, and sugar with the cornstarch and water, then add to the pan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly. Finally, stir in the broccoli. Serve with: rice
