Chicken Sweet-sour

The perfect chicken sweet-sour recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Chicken fillets
  • 5 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp Food starch
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1 Paprika
  • 2 Carrots
  • 0,5 Can Pineapple
  • 2 tbsp Sake
  • 3 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Divide the meat into bite-sized pieces. Mix with 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, salt and cornstarch and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Wash vegetables. Cut the bell pepper into cubes. Peel the carrots and cut into slices. Drain the pineapple and collect the juice.
  3. For the sauce: Mix the sake, ginger, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, salt and 100ml pineapple juice.
  4. Heat some oil in a pan. Fry the meat in it and then keep it warm,
  5. Fry the vegetables in the pan. Add the sauce and simmer briefly, then add the meat again
