Chicken Sweet-sour
The perfect chicken sweet-sour recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 400 g Chicken fillets
- 5 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Food starch
- 1 Onion
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 1 Paprika
- 2 Carrots
- 0,5 Can Pineapple
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 3 tbsp Tomato ketchup
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- Salt
- Pepper
- Divide the meat into bite-sized pieces. Mix with 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, salt and cornstarch and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Wash vegetables. Cut the bell pepper into cubes. Peel the carrots and cut into slices. Drain the pineapple and collect the juice.
- For the sauce: Mix the sake, ginger, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, salt and 100ml pineapple juice.
- Heat some oil in a pan. Fry the meat in it and then keep it warm,
- Fry the vegetables in the pan. Add the sauce and simmer briefly, then add the meat again
