Chicken with vegetables, potato dumplings and tomatoes

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 800 g chicken breast fillet(s), cut into small pieces
  • 1 kg potato noodles or gnocchi, from the refrigerated section
  • 750 g vegetables of your choice (e.g. red and yellow peppers, zucchini or frozen vegetable mix without seasoning)
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 300 g cream cheese
  • 2 cans tomatoes, chopped
  • herbs, Italian, fresh
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Oil for frying

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

quick and uncomplicated

Brown the chicken breast in a little oil. Add the diced onions and chopped garlic and sauté. Add the chopped tomatoes, followed shortly by the cream cheese. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and herbs to taste. Briefly fry the potato dumplings in a separate pan until golden brown. Then add them to the chicken and vegetables and let everything simmer for a short while. Season to taste, sprinkle with fresh, chopped herbs, and serve. Tip: Depending on your desired consistency, you can also add crushed tomatoes; this will make the sauce a bit thinner.
