Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 chicory
- 500 g minced meat (mixed or just beef)
- 2 apples, peeled and pitted and cut into small pieces
- 3 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- pepper
- Nutmeg, ground
- ½ lemon(s), the juice
- 1 cup sour cream (sour cream)
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Halve the chicory lengthwise and remove the stalk. Bring water with lemon juice to a boil and blanch the chicory in it. Remove and drain. In the meantime, season the minced meat generously with mustard, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Line a baking dish with a layer of chicory leaves, add a thin layer of the minced meat mixture, and then the apple pieces. Repeat these layers. Then add the sour cream on top. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 40 minutes. It tastes delicious, and the chicory isn’t as bitter.
