Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 750 g Cabanossi
  • 6 onions
  • 3 cans of corn (425 g each)
  • 1 can of tomatoes, peeled, (850 ml)
  • ½ liter broth, clear
  • 4 cans of baked beans in tomato sauce (425 g each)
  • 2 can/n kidney beans (425 g each)
  • Salt
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper or sambal oelek
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 can/n tomato paste, (70 g each)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Slice the sausage. Peel and dice the onions. Drain the corn and chop the tomatoes. Heat the oil in a large pot and fry the sausage slices. Remove and set aside. Sauté the onions and garlic in the frying fat, add the tomato paste, and deglaze with the clear broth. Add the tomatoes with their juices, the drained corn, the baked beans with the tomato sauce, and the kidney beans (rinsed with clean water and drained). Season to taste with salt and cayenne pepper or sambal oelek. Then simmer for about 30 minutes over medium heat.
