Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 head of white cabbage, sliced ​​into 2 mm strips
  • 2 tbsp spice mix, without salt, e.g. herbs of Provence
  • 3 clove(s) garlic, squeezed
  • 2 small chili peppers, e.g. Thai bird’s eye chili, cut into rings
  • salt and pepper
  • oil
  • Apple cider vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Place the cabbage strips in a saucepan and mix well with the salt and herbs. Let stand for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Then knead everything thoroughly by hand and fold in the remaining ingredients. Then simmer for a maximum of 20 minutes. Once cooled, season with salt, pepper, vinegar, and oil. It’s perfect as a salad or, without vinegar, as a warm side dish.
