Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 onion(s)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 400 g minced meat, mixed
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste, triple concentrated
- 2 tsp spice mix (chili spice mix)
- salt and pepper
- 125 ml red wine
- 1 can of corn (340 g)
- 1 can kidney beans (400 g)
- 1 can of tomatoes, peeled (400 g)
- 1 bell pepper(s), green
- 1 chili pepper(s), fresh, red
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Peel and chop the onions and garlic clove. Heat the oil in a deep pan or saucepan and fry the onions and garlic. Add the minced meat and fry until crumbly. Then add the tomato paste, chili seasoning, salt, and pepper and fry briefly. Deglaze with the red wine. Strain the corn and kidney beans through a sieve and stir into the minced meat. Add the tomatoes and their juices and mash them with a fork along the sides of the pan. Wash, trim, and halve the bell pepper and chili, removing the seeds. Roughly dice the bell pepper and very finely dice the chili. Stir both into the chili. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. Serve with fresh white bread or baguette.
