Chimichurri Barbecue Sauce
The perfect chimichurri barbecue sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Bd Fresh smooth parsley
- 1 Finely diced onion
- 1 Red onion, also very finely diced
- 0,5 Yellow, red and green peppers, also finely diced
- 2 Bay leaves
- 2 tsp Coarse sea salt
- 3 Garlic cloves finely diced
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 1 tsp Dried thyme
- 1 tsp Sweet paprika
- 1 tsp Red chilli flakes
- 75 ml Red wine vinegar
- 75 ml Water cold
- 150 ml Oil
- The fresh ingredients must all be diced very finely and the parsley should be chopped thoroughly. Put everything in a tall vessel. Then crush the sea salt, the bay leaves and the dried herbs in a mortar until it has turned into a powder. Now pour the vinegar, water and oil over the diced ingredients and stir in the powder from the mortar. If the whole thing is too rough for you, you can go through it again briefly with the hand blender. Finished!!!
