Chimichurri Sauce

The perfect chimichurri sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 90 ml Olive oil
  • 30 ml Red wine vinegar or white balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Garlic clove or more for intense flavor
  • 2 bunch Parsley
  • Chilli flakes
  • Salt pepper
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 0,5 Lime
  1. Finely chop the parsley, garlic and onion.
  2. Add vinegar, olive oil and the juice of one lime and mix well.
  3. Now add the spices salt, pepper, thyme, oregano and chilli.
  4. If you like, you can add a small chopped chilli pepper to give it a kick of fresh spiciness.
  5. Let the sauce soak in the fridge for a while.
  6. Before serving, take it out of the refrigerator half an hour in advance so that it unfolds its full aroma.
