Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 120 g Chinese cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 500 g minced pork
  • 3 shiitake mushrooms
  • 120 g spring onions, chopped
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ginger, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 pack of frozen dumpling dough from an Asian store

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Sprinkle the chopped cabbage with a teaspoon of salt and let stand in a colander for 10 minutes. Squeeze the water out afterward to drain. Then mix the cabbage with the minced meat, mushrooms, spring onions, oil, ginger, salt, and pepper. Have a bowl of water ready to moisten your hands. Spread the mixture evenly among the dumplings (about 1 tablespoon per dumpling) and fold into the dumplings, then press down. Moisten your fingers with the water every now and then. Place the dumplings in a pan and fry briefly. Then add a little water to the pan and steam the dumplings for about 7 minutes. Serve. Soy sauce is delicious with it.
