Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 200 g minced meat (pork)
- 5 large iceberg lettuce leaves
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp sambal oelek
- 3 tbsp soy sauce, dark
- 3 tbsp vinegar (Chinese rice vinegar)
- 2 tbsp oil, neutral in taste
- 1 tbsp oil (sesame oil)
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Roughly chop the iceberg lettuce and set aside. Brown the minced meat in oil (NOT sesame oil!), crumbling it slightly. Add the iceberg lettuce and fry briefly. Crush the garlic cloves and add them to the minced meat and iceberg lettuce along with the sambal oelek, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Reduce the heat and sauté with the lid on for about 5 minutes, until the iceberg lettuce has collapsed. Remove the lid and let the liquid reduce a little longer if necessary. Drizzle with sesame oil and serve. Serve with sticky rice, such as sushi rice, risotto rice, or rice pudding (cook with just water).
