Chinese pak choi and Chinese cabbage soup

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 pak choi
  • ½ Chinese cabbage
  • 1 tbsp vegetable broth
  • Sambal Oelek
  • 800 ml water
  • Ginger
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • oil
  • 100 g crab
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp star anise, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

With crabs

First, wash and finely chop the bok choy and Chinese cabbage. Sauté them in a little oil for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, stir the water into the vegetable broth, add the soy sauce, sugar, and sambal oelek, if desired. Now add this broth to the pot, along with some ginger and the star anise. Then add the prawns. Simmer for about 20 minutes.
