Chocolate balls with walnut from Rosinenkind

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 100 g dark chocolate, grated
  • 1 pinch of baking powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder, heaped
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 tsp speculatius spice
  • 100 g walnuts, ground
  • 225 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 g white chocolate coating
  • 50 ml cream or egg liqueur
  • 200 g walnuts, hazelnuts or chocolate chips

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

makes about 50 pieces

Knead the first 10 ingredients into a smooth dough, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls and bake for about 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 175°C. Melt the chocolate coating, add the cream (or eggnog), and decorate the balls with it. Then, top with walnuts or any decorations you like.
