Ingredients
- Dough:
- 125 g Butter
- 60 g Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 200 g Cocoa powder
- 200 g Flour
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 200 ml Cream
- Filling:
- 300 ml Cream
- 1,5 packet Cream stiffener
- 200 g Cream cheese
- 50 g Sugar
- 2 tbsp Honey
- Decoration as desired:
- Powdered sugar, optional
- Chocolate cake icing to spread, optional
- White chocolate to decorate, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC (fan oven 160ºC). Grease a round cake pan.
- Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Gradually add the eggs. Finally mix in the flour, cocoa and cream.
- Now put the dough in the mold, smooth it out and bake for 50-55 minutes. Take out, let stand in the tin for 10 minutes and then turn out onto a wire rack and let cool down. As soon as the cake has cooled down, cut it horizontally once.
- For the filling, whip the cream with the cream stiffener until stiff. Mix the cream cheese with the sugar and honey until the sugar has dissolved. Finally fold in the cream. Keep it cold until then.
- Pour the cream on one of the two bases and smooth it out. Place the other base as a lid on the cream filling and refrigerate until ready to eat.
- If you like, you can dust the cake with powdered sugar or coat it with a dark chocolate couverture and decorate it with white chocolate.
