Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 300 g flour
- 250 g sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder, instant
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 3 eggs
- 3 dl milk
- 200 g butter, liquid, cooled
- 200 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder, instant
- 50 g butter
- 1 espresso, approx. 7 tbsp
- 5 dl full cream
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 300 g strawberries
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
Heavenly juicy strawberry slices
Mix all the sponge cake ingredients in a bowl and bake for 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C. Meanwhile, combine all the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Remove the cake after 25 minutes and baste with the sauce. Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes. Whip the heavy cream and vanilla sugar until stiff and spread over the cooled sponge cake. Wash and chop the strawberries, then scatter them over the cake. Chill. Tip: Also delicious with other fruits.
