Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork schnitzel
  • 2 large onions
  • 250 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 1 ½ tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 can/n bamboo shoot(s)
  • 3 cup(s) bean sprouts
  • 1 ½ cup(s) broth
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Heat oil in a pan or wok and fry sliced ​​onions. Add the bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and soybean sprouts one after the other, season with salt, and remove from the pan. Cut the pork into very thin slices, add a little more oil to the pan if needed, and stir-fry the meat until cooked through. Add the vegetables, pour in the broth, and bring to a boil. Mix the cornstarch, water, soy sauce, and sugar, add to the pan, and stir gently. Season with salt to taste. You can also use dried mushrooms, and chicken or beef instead of the pork. Serve with rice.
