Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g pork
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • 2 stalk(s) leeks
  • 2 slices of pineapple
  • 4 bell peppers
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 3 tbsp sake
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 6 tbsp potato flour
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cut the meat into even 1 cm pieces, coat in the beaten egg and then in the potato flour, and deep-fry in batches in the oil. Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok and briefly sauté the sliced ​​garlic. Cut the leek into 3 cm pieces and the bell pepper into 1 cm pieces and add to the garlic. Sauté for a while, and after 3 minutes, add the chopped pineapple and the sliced ​​chili. Then add the meat back in, stir, and drizzle with sake. Make a mixture of vinegar, soy sauce, half the sake (or sherry), sugar, ginger, and salt, and add this to the vegetables and meat. Heat through, but do not allow to boil. Serve with rice.
