Christmas burger

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g minced beef or tartar from the butcher
  • 1 Camembert(s), approx. 200 g
  • 1 jar cranberry jam
  • 150 g lamb’s lettuce
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 jar red cabbage, approx. 300 g
  • 3 onions, red
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and knead thoroughly. Wash the lamb’s lettuce and remove the roots. Slice the Camembert. Peel, halve, and slice the onions. Season with salt and pepper and fry in a pan until soft. Form the ground beef into evenly sized, flat burger patties and sear them on both sides, either on the grill or in a pan. Meanwhile, warm the red cabbage and toast the buns. Spread the cranberry jam on both sides of the buns. Arrange the washed lamb’s lettuce on the underside of the buns. When the patties are done, leave them in the pan for a short while, then place the Camembert on top of the meat so that it melts a little. Place the burger patties on the buns, top with about 1 tablespoon of red cabbage per burger, and the fried onions. Sweet potato fries or the rest of the lamb’s lettuce go very well with them.
