Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 jar sour cherries
  • 3 bags of mulled wine spice
  • 4 cl Amaretto
  • 270 g gelling sugar 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

A fruity and spicy delight with amaretto note

Heat the sour cherries and their juice in a saucepan until very hot, but do not boil. Add the mulled wine spices and let them steep for 15 minutes. Then remove the bags. Add the amaretto to the jam, puree the mixture, stir in the gelling sugar, and let the whole thing simmer for about 10 minutes. Test the setting time, then pour the jam into jars and seal them. My tip: This jam is perfect for Christmas cookies like angel eyes or tarts.
