For years an absolute highlight in our Advent season

Sift flour and mix with baking powder, nuts, and starch. Beat eggs, sugar, and margarine with a hand mixer. Dissolve the baking powder in a little vinegar and add to the egg mixture, mixing well. Add the flour mixture and knead everything into a dough. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Roll out the dough, cut out shapes as desired, and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) until golden brown. Let cool and decorate the cookies with icing and sprinkles, or as desired.
