Christmas jam with strawberries, cherries, marzipan and cinnamon

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g cherry(s), frozen
  • 400 g strawberries, frozen
  • 500 g gelling sugar 2:1
  • 100 ml red wine
  • 100 g marzipan paste
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Gift idea that is quick and easy to prepare

Thaw the frozen fruit and puree. Stir the gelling sugar into the cold mixture. Add the red wine, cinnamon, and vanilla sugar and mix. Cut the marzipan into small cubes. Finally, stir in the marzipan mixture and bring everything to a boil. Be careful, the marzipan mixture sticks slightly, so stir continuously. Once the entire mixture has boiled, let it simmer for 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Then pour the hot mixture into clean jars. This makes about 4 jars. Fill the jars to the brim and then seal tightly. I don’t turn them upside down. Let the jam cool and enjoy. It’s delicious not just at Christmas.
