Christmas Kale
The perfect christmas kale recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Glasses Kale
- 1 Onion
- 50 g Goose fat
- 100 g Ham cubes
- 1 Kg Smoked Kasseler Kamm raw
- 250 ml. Meatsoup
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 Bay leaves
- 6 Allspice grains
- 10 Peppercorns
- Leave the lard in a saucepan, peel the onion, dice it and sauté it with the diced ham until translucent, add the kale, add the spices, sear and deglaze with the meat stock, place the meat on the kale, close the lid and close everything lightly for approx. 90 minutes Simmer.
- Cut the meat into slices and serve with the kale and fried potatoes.
- I always have this dish 1-2 weeks before Christmas, I freeze the rest of the kale, which I then serve on Christmas Day with a goose, red cabbage and dumplings
