Christmas: Raisin Buns

The perfect christmas: raisin buns recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For approx. 50 pieces:

  • 100 g Raisins
  • 2 tbsp Orange juice
  • 125 g Soft butter
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 2 Eggs size M
  • 250 g Wheat flour type 405 or 550
  • 1 pinch Ground clove powder
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • Peel of 1 organic orange
  • Icing sugar for dusting
  1. Preheat the oven to 160 ° C (convection / hot air). Line three baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Drizzle the raisins with orange juice and let steep for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Beat the butter, sugar and eggs until a creamy mass. Stir the flour, baking powder, clove powder and orange peel into the mixture. Finally fold in the raisins
  4. Use two teaspoons to put small heaps on the prepared baking sheets. Leave enough space between them, the dough will still spread a little.
  5. Put the raisin rolls in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes. The cookies should stay light yellow.
  6. Place on a wire rack, let cool and dust with powdered sugar.
  7. Store in tin cans.
