Christmas tree cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 250 g cane sugar
  • 3 small eggs
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 750 g flour
  • 125 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp spirulina powder
  • 1 tsp water
  • some gold powder or pearls for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Beat the sugar, vanilla sugar, and softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs. Add the flour and baking powder a spoonful at a time and knead into a dough. Shape the dough into a ball and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Then roll out to a thickness of about 2 cm and cut out Christmas trees. Place them, spacing them apart, on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (convection oven) for about 10 minutes on the middle rack. Allow the cookies to cool. In the meantime, prepare the icing. In a small bowl, mix the icing sugar, spirulina powder, or green food coloring with a little water (drop by drop). Add a dash of rum or almond flavoring for extra flavor. Brush the icing onto the cookies. Decorate with gold powder or pearls while still wet.
