Cinnamon cookies with punch glaze

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 250 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 1 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 5 drops of rum flavoring
  • powdered sugar
  • Punch (if children are eating with us, children’s punch)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cream the butter, sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Stir in the cinnamon, cocoa powder, baking powder, and gingerbread spice. Gradually stir in the flour until you have a rollable dough. You may not need the full 500g. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of about 0.5 cm and cut out cookies. Bake on a baking sheet lined with baking paper at 190°C for about 8-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly browned. Let the cookies cool, then cover with a glaze made from powdered sugar and punch. Decorate with sugar pearls or similar, if desired. Use slightly heaped teaspoons of the spices (gingerbread, cinnamon, and cocoa), depending on your preference.
