Cinnamon rice

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 125 g rice
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon – sugar
  • 1 tsp broth

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Add the chopped onions to a hot pot with a little oil, stirring constantly. Then add the rice and stir again (without water) until the rice slowly begins to turn translucent. Deglaze with water, add the cinnamon, cinnamon sugar, and broth, and cook uncovered until the water is almost completely evaporated (be careful, if all the water is gone, the rice will be too dry!). If you prefer a more savory dish, simply omit the cinnamon sugar and add more broth.
