Cinnamon stars made from oat flakes

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g oat flakes
  • 100 g butter
  • 160 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 160 g flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 2 lemons, squeezed
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Toast the oats in a pan with 40g of the butter and 60g of the sugar until light yellow, then let cool. Cream 60g of the butter until fluffy, then mix in 100g of the sugar, 2 eggs, 60g of the ground nuts, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Then stir in the flour, baking powder, and lemon juice and knead. Caution: The dough will be quite soft. Roll out the dough, cut out stars, and bake at approximately 180°C for 10-15 minutes until light brown. For the glaze: Beat the egg whites with the juice of one lemon until stiff, fold in 200g of the powdered sugar, and coat the cooled stars with the mixture. Let dry overnight.
