How to clean your toaster
If you only use your toaster for what it is intended for, cleaning is not difficult. However, if you also use it to prepare fish fingers, potato pancakes, or other deep-frozen food, you won’t be able to enjoy your appliance for long: you won’t get the fat out again.
- Actually, all modern toasters have a crumb tray. This is where most of the bread crumbs collect and can also be easily removed. You can also easily clean the drawer with a little washing-up liquid. But dry before inserting!
- The following applies to all further cleaning steps: Pull the mains plug out of the socket!
- Not all breadcrumbs fall through to the crumb tray. Remove most by simply turning the toaster upside down and tapping it out.
- If there are still bread residues in the toaster, you should remove them with a brush. Do not use any pointed or sharp objects, otherwise, you will damage the fine heating wires. The brush must also be dry, moisture has no place inside the toaster.
- You can easily clean the housing of the toaster by wiping it with a damp cloth. Make sure, however, that the mains plug is unplugged when you approach electrical devices with water.
