Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 750 g pasta (spaghetti)
- 6 tomatoes, ripe
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 pinch of chili
- 150 ml oil (olive oil)
- 125 g cheese (Parmesan or Peccorino), grated
- 1 bunch of basil
Instructions

Pasta with tomatoes and basil
Cook pasta in plenty of salted water according to the package instructions. Peel and chop the tomatoes and add them to a bowl with the tomato juice. Chop the garlic, basil, and chili flakes with a pinch of salt in a blender and blend with the olive oil until smooth. Mix the tomatoes and garlic paste together. Drain the pasta (reserve a few tablespoons of the pasta water) and place it in a bowl. Add the grated cheese and pour the reserved pasta water over it. Toss the pasta with the sauce and sprinkle with the remaining cheese before serving.
