Coconut-ginger stars

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 80 g desiccated coconut
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 200 g butter
  • 1 bag of orange peel flavor (orange peel)
  • ½ tsp nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp ginger syrup
  • 125 g apricot jam

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Knead together flour, cornstarch, desiccated coconut, 1 egg, sugar, butter, orange zest, and spices. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out equal numbers of stars using star cutters (8.5 cm and 5.5 cm). Separate the remaining egg and whisk the egg yolk with the syrup and a little water until smooth. Brush the stars with this mixture. Place the small stars on top of the large ones. Bake for about 10 minutes at 200°C. Heat the jam and place it on top of each cookie.
