Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g fish fillet(s) (cod fillet), cut into 4 portions
  • some vinegar to acidify
  • Salt and pepper, black from the mill
  • some flour for turning
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 50 g grated cheese of your choice
  • Margarine for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Drizzle the fish fillets with vinegar and marinate for 30 minutes. Prepare three plates as follows: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs and cheese, thoroughly mixed. Dry the fish, season with salt and pepper, and coat each plate in flour, eggs, and the breadcrumbs and cheese mixture. Heat the margarine in a pan and fry the fish over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Serve with spinach and herbed potatoes.
