Cod fillet in lemon sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 portions of cod fillet(s)
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 ml fish stock, alternatively vegetable stock
  • 1 lemon(s), juice, zest of half a
  • 1 tbsp fir honey
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • ½ jar white wine
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel and chop half an onion. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onion pieces. Deglaze with white wine and fish stock, add lemon juice, grated zest of half a lemon, and wild honey, and cook for 2 minutes. Add capers and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Meanwhile, in a second pan with olive oil, season the cod fillets with salt and pepper, and briefly fry them on both sides. Add the fish fillets to the pan with the sauce, let them simmer, and serve. Serve with boiled potatoes or white bread and dry sherry or white wine.
