Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter
  • 105 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee
  • 225 g flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chocolate sprinkles, or more
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

makes about 50 pieces

Dissolve the instant coffee in a little hot water. Cut the fat into small pieces. Place it in a bowl with 65g of powdered sugar, the egg, coffee, and flour. Knead everything together and chill for about 30 minutes. Use a glass to cut out half-moons from the dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Whisk the egg yolk with milk and brush the moons with it. Bake at 175°C for about 10-12 minutes. Make a glaze from the remaining powdered sugar and lemon juice and decorate the moons with it in a zigzag pattern. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles and lightly dust with cocoa.
