Cold kiwi and coriander sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 kiwis
  • 1 bunch of coriander leaves
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • ½ tsp chili powder, hot (or 1 fresh chili pepper)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the kiwis, roughly chop them, and blend them with the peeled garlic clove. Wash and finely chop the cilantro leaves. Peel and finely chop the onions, then mix them with the chili powder and cilantro into the blended kiwis. Season with salt and pepper and, if desired, a pinch of sugar (I only add sugar if the kiwis are very sour). The sauce can be eaten immediately, but it tastes best after it has been left to sit for a few hours. It’s delicious with tortillas and also with poultry.
