super quick and easy, also vegetarian possible
Pluck the sage leaves from the stalks, wash them, and dry them thoroughly. Cut the ham into strips and peel the garlic cloves. I used two small cloves, but garlic won’t harm the dish. Melt the butter in a pan and fry the sage leaves, adding salt. When the leaves are a bit darker and shriveled, remove them from the pan and place them in a separate bowl. Brown the gnocchi in the pan with the sage butter, season with salt and pepper, then press the garlic and add it. Deglaze the gnocchi with the cream and let it reduce slightly. If necessary, add a little more milk to ensure there’s plenty of sauce for the gnocchi. If it seems a bit dry, add more milk or cream, or water for those more conscious of your weight. Add a small amount of granulated stock. Finally, stir in a handful of grated Parmesan cheese. Serve the gnocchi with sauce, fried sage leaves, and Parma ham. The dish is also vegetarian without the Parma ham.
