Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 can of corn
  • 150 g prawn(s), peeled and deveined
  • 2 shallots or spring onions
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g flour
  • ½ tsp sambal oelek
  • 1 tsp coriander, ground
  • Salt
  • Oil for frying

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cooking class recipe

Rinse the corn and drain in a sieve. Rinse the shrimp under cold water, drain, and roughly chop. Peel and finely chop the shallots and garlic. Place all prepared ingredients in a bowl. Meanwhile, whisk the egg in a bowl. Sift the flour over the corn. Add all prepared ingredients, spices, and salt, and knead into a dough. Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan. Drop the dough a teaspoon at a time into the hot oil and fry in batches for about 3 minutes until crispy. Drain the finished balls on a paper towel. Serve warm or cold.
