Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed or just beef
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 can peas and carrots
  • 300 g Gouda, grated
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 200 ml milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Mashed potato and minced meat casserole

Peel and boil the potatoes. Then mash them with about 200 ml of milk. Meanwhile, brown the minced meat and onion with the chopped garlic clove and season with salt and pepper. Then pour the mash into a casserole dish and sprinkle with 150 g of Gouda cheese. Spread the minced meat and vegetables (peas and carrots) on top and top with another 150 g of Gouda cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (top/bottom heat).
